My 1st safety razor

SInce this is my first safety razor, I can't compare it to others. BUT! I got tired of paying insane prices for Gillette's Turbo Mach 3 blades that just seem to go up in price and down in quality. I couldn't be happier for the switch. I bought Rockwell's full package with the brush, shave lotion, 3 heads (6 settings), and blades, and I'm very satisfied. I started growing my beard for winter so haven't done a full face shave yet with my Rockwell, just above and below the beard. TO SUM IT ALL UP: Great 1st safety razor and I strongly suggest for you to buy the full package as I did. Well worth the extra price! The lotion and brush work better than any big name store bought shaving cream I've ever used! That's about 40 years experience. And you don't need but a dab.

Rockwell 6C - Double Edge Safety Razor

love it!!

I bought this four months ago and I LOVE it. I was afraid of cutting myself but it's so hard to do so (and I have never). Personally, the weight is good just something to get used to. It's a little awkward to change the blade but nothing to make me annoyed, just cautious when replacing. I also found that the blades don't really last 3 full days if you use the higher setting (4 and up) but I can still get two uses out of it before it feels rough. The lower settings usually go three. I only use it on my underarms so I can't say for how it works anywhere else, but I'm so happy with the product. Most important to me is no more plastic!!!! Highly recommend:)

Solid Razor

Great quality, smooth shave. Having different levels of aggressiveness really helps. I found baseplate 4 to be great on my face and 2 is great for body.

Good

Takes time to get used to after using cartridges. A longer lighter version might be ideal. Still haven’t solved the close issue under nostrils….

Satisfaction

This razor is way better than what I thought. Smooth shave and no irritation. I'm very pleased.

Great 1st experience

First time user of DE razors. Was sick of the cost of cartridges, nothing else, but getting more than just savings out of the switch.

Short story; first time I've been able to get a shave smooth with no irritation, nicks or ingrown hairs since ever.

Longer story; started with the R1 plate and no nicks, just wasn't as smooth as I wanted. So moved up to the R2, switched blades and getting as smooth as I was with cartridges and still no irritation, only downside is more passes than I'd like.

Going to try R3 next to see if I can improve on that, but the shave I get on R2 is already better then cartridges ever were. Love that I have the option to try out the different settings and will probably pick one up for my wife as well since she complains about irritation when shaving her legs.
