Our Razors
Problem: All multi-blade cartridges have a fundamental design flaw and your skin suffers for it. The problem is multiple blades, which can pull the hairs and cut them below skin level. When hairs are cut beneath the skin, they often curl and bend as they grow back, leading to skin irritation, and painful razor bumps. There's even a Wikipedia article explaining this!
Solution: Using a single blade Rockwell Razor means no pulling and tugging is possible. Even better, Rockwell Razors are adjustable, which ensures that hair is never cut shorter than the surrounding skin. With an adjustable single blade razor you eliminate the causes of ingrown hairs, razor bumps and shaving irritation.
Our razors are designed to be incredibly intuitive and easy to use.
For the Rockwell 2C, 6C and Rockwell 6S models - simply load a blade into the top cap, insert the base plate corresponding to the size you want to shave with and screw on the handle.
The number you see displayed on the bottom of your fully assembled razor is the size you're shaving with.
For Rockwell R1 and Model T Razors, simply twist the bottom of the handle to open up the butterfly blade loading mechanism.
We've made cutting yourself nearly impossible when shaving on our lowest size setting (R1). We recommend starting on this setting to get the feel of the razor and eliminate any risk of nicks while you're first starting out.
You're now ready for the best shave of your life! Remember to not apply too much pressure and instead let the weight of the razor do the bulk off the work, using short, gentle strokes.
Yes! Our razors work wonders regardless of gender or which part of your body you're shaving. We recommend setting the razor to the lower, more sensitive settings when body shaving or shaving more sensitive areas. Whether you're shaving your face, legs, armpits or anything in between, we guarantee there's a Rockwell shave setting for you.
Lower Rockwell Size settings (between 1-3) are for men with sensitive skin and are the perfect place to start a seamless transition from cartridge razor shaving with no nicks, cuts or discomfort.
Higher Rockwell Size settings (between 4-6) are for men with thick, coarse hair and men lining up a serious beard.
You'll find your perfect shave setting anywhere in between!
Compare SETPOINT, 6S, T2, 6C and 2C in our razor comparison guide.
Our razors allow you to adjust shave settings 1 through 6, so you can cater the shave to your skin type and facial hair length by slightly adjusting the angle at which the blade cuts your hair.
This allows anyone to personalize their shave to their unique needs, making shaving drastically more comfortable than with one-size-fits-all razor.
Rockwell Razors are perfect for anyone that's experienced irritation with ordinary cartridge razors. Shaving using a lower size (R1) is guaranteed to provide a pain-free shave with no nicks or cuts while our single, specially treated stainless steel blade eliminates the possibility of in-grown hairs.
Absolutely! Shaving with a higher size setting (R3 - R6) will guarantee a close, comfortable irritation-free shave no matter how burly the beard.
Our Blades
All Rockwell Razors use double-edge razor blades. A 100-pack of Rockwell Razor Blades gives you a two-year supply of blades for $10 (That's 10 cents a blade!).
Each blade is individually wrapped for hygienic purposes and come in 20 compact 5 blade packs within our 100 pack.
Made of 100% premium grade Swedish Stainless Steel, these blades stay exceptional sharp for decades.
Our blades are fully recyclable and can be easily and safely deposited into our optional Rockwell Blade Safe (which is also fully recyclable.
Each blade is specially treated and precision sharpened for optimal comfort and shaving efficiency.
No useless razor marketing gimmicks - just great blades at a great price.
For the Rockwell 6C and 6S interchangeable plate system, the published gaps by setting are:
R1: 0.008 inches (0.20 mm)
R2: 0.014 inches (0.35 mm)
R3: 0.019 inches (0.48 mm)
R4: 0.024 inches (0.61 mm)
R5: 0.027 inches (0.69 mm)
R6: 0.031 inches (0.79 mm)
The 2C includes the R1/R3 plate. These figures do not describe SETPOINT or T2 dial settings.
We think our blades are the absolute best value on the market, but feel free to try other blades too - we're okay with an open relationship.
Double-edge razor blades are widely available on the internet or at your local pharmacy. Experimenting with different brands of blades is part of the fun!
Blades typically last anywhere from 4 - 7 shaves, mainly depending on the coarseness of your hair.
The thicker the hair, the fast the blade will lose its sharpness.
Once you feel a bit of tugging or pulling, it's probably time to change the blade!
Many wet shavers like to use a brand new blade every time, but it's not necessary to achieve a fantastic shave.

Other
The only difference between the two designs is the materials we use to craft them. The Rockwell 6C is made from a chromed zinc alloy, while the Rockwell 6S is made from pure stainless steel. While the 6C is highly durable, the 6S is virtually indestructible. The 6S also has the word "Rockwell" engraved on each side of each base plate.
Simple! Unlike ordinary razors, a Rockwell Razor is built to last a lifetime. Brand name Cartridges can cost from $1 to $5 each, but the double-edge razor blades that our razors use are available for 10 cents each - from our site, Amazon, and most drug and grocery stores. We think our blades are the absolute best value on the market, but feel free to try other blades too - we're okay with an open relationship.
Other safety razors don't have our patented adjustable system - making ours the only safety razor that guarantees a close, comfortable shave for any hair type or skill level. Beginners can start using a Rockwell Razor right away without the learning curve of traditional safety razors.
• It's still a cartridge razor except it comes in the mail. So it's not adjustable and can still cause skin irritation and razor bumps.
• $1 to $3 per cartridge is still 10 to 30 times too much for a good razor blade!
• A funny commercial or fancy handle doesn't actually improve the quality of your shave.
• Most of that money is to pay the postal service to deliver your blades.
• You're still locked into a specific cartridge system with no options to change blade suppliers.
Not adjustable - cartridges are designed for some mythical "average guy" as if all men have the same skin type and facial hair.
• Cartridges can tug and pull on facial hair, causing many people to suffer from skin irritation, razor bumps, and razor burn.
• Typical cartridges cost $3 to $5 each, which adds up fast - that's why they keep the cartridge razors behind the counter or in a locked glass vault.
• Relies on marketing gimmicks and celebrity endorsements to fool you into overpaying

Razor Care & Warranty
If your razor is damaged by a fall or other accident, email info@rockwellrazors.com with your order details and a photo. We can help identify the replacement parts you need. We cover the cost of those parts, though you may be asked to cover shipping and handling.
Our stainless steel Rockwell 6S is backed by a lifetime warranty. If a razor arrives with a manufacturing or cosmetic defect, we will arrange a free replacement. For accidental damage or misuse, replacement parts are free, but shipping may apply. See our quality guarantee for details.
All products purchased directly from our store also have 100-day returns, no questions asked. This return period is separate from warranty support. For an order from another retailer, contact that seller about its return and warranty process. If you need help, contact our support team.
Our published specifications identify the 6C as nickel-free and the stainless steel 6S as containing nickel. Materials and finishes differ by model. Please contact our support team to confirm the materials and coating of the specific razor you are considering.
Rinse the razor after use to remove hair and shaving residue. For a deeper clean, use mild dish soap, water and a soft, non-abrasive cloth, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
Leaving a wet blade inside the stainless steel 6S for long periods can cause staining from the blade. If this occurs, remove the blade between uses and let the parts dry. Handle blades carefully by their short, unsharpened edges. For persistent discoloration or finish-specific care, contact our support team.
Yes. Browse our replacement parts. If you are unsure which part fits your model or need warranty help, contact our support team before ordering.
The Rockwell 2C and 6C share interchangeable parts. The 6S has different dimensions and geometry, so we do not recommend combining 6C or 2C parts with 6S parts.
Shaving Tips & Ingredients
Yes. Trim longer hair first, soften the hair with warm water and apply shaving cream. Start with a mild setting on adjustable models and use short, light strokes with the grain. Take your time around the contours of your head and use a second mirror for the back.
Rinse the razor frequently, reapply lather before another pass, then rinse and moisturize your scalp after shaving.
There is no single maximum length: your model, blade, hair density and technique all matter. Higher settings on adjustable models can help with thicker growth. For a long beard, trim it first, use short strokes and rinse the razor often. Several lathered passes may be needed; avoid forcing the razor through the hair.
Load a double-edge blade according to your model instructions and start with a mild setting if your razor is adjustable. Soften your hair with warm water and apply shaving cream or soap. Use short, gentle strokes with light pressure, rinsing the razor regularly.
Replace the blade when it begins to tug or feel dull; many users get around 4–7 shaves, depending on hair and technique. Store used blades safely in a blade bank and follow your local disposal or recycling rules.
A reusable safety razor uses replaceable double-edge blades, which can reduce ongoing blade costs and disposable cartridge waste. Adjustable models let you tailor the shave to your skin, hair and experience. Using a single blade can also help reduce tugging and irritation for some shavers, with results depending on technique.
Our shaving creams, soaps, oils and balms are formulated with vegan ingredients. Check the ingredient list on each product page for the specific item you are buying.
Our shaving preparations use natural ingredients. The ingredient list on each product page gives the details for that formula; review it before choosing a product.
Safety razors can be used for face and body shaving. Use a mild setting on adjustable models, plenty of shaving cream, and short, gentle strokes. Take extra care around curves and sensitive areas, keep the skin taut and start by shaving with the grain.
For the 6C and 6S, choose or flip the base plate: the number visible on the underside of the assembled razor is the setting in use. The 2C includes settings 1 and 3.
Dial-adjustable models use a control on the handle. Follow the instructions for your specific model and begin with a mild setting, increasing gradually if needed. See our comparison guide for the adjustment system on each model.
